Working closely with industrial, healthcare and research end-users, the group has an award-winning track record in providing enabling technologies and techniques.
The VariDose technology concept arises from a number of research investigations carried out within the group including light scattering, particle analysis, water quality and powder characterisation. A patent application for VariDose was filed in Spring 2003 and the patent cooperation treaty is expected to be published soon.
VariDose Ltd will address the research and development, testing and manufacturing of inhalation devices and inhaled drugs. The company will own the core technology and undertake initial product development. Second round funding is being sought to further develop the product and commence the business development programme.
